Kancho Henk kuipers website
Kancho Henk Kuipers was born on september 19th 1964 in Emmen City, Netherlands.
Of his 8 up to his 18 years he started his Budo career with Judo in the famous Judo school "Vos" in Emmen City.
Afterwards he started his succesful Kyokushin Karate career under the supervision of Hanshi Joop Reilman (Treasurer IBK)
From 1980 untill 1996 Kancho Henk Kuipers participated in many famous Kyokushin tournaments and Mixed Martial Arts events all over the world.
In 2006 Kaicho Jon Bluming official appointed him as Kancho with as head aim to lead the IBK to a succesful future.
His succes as a promoter made Kancho also very known in the world of Budo.
He organised several martial arts events such as Open Kyokushin karate tournaments, Free-fight events and Mixed Martial Arts events.
Kancho Kuipers was also responsible for the first Cage Fight tournament in 1996 in the Netherlands.
The main goal of Kancho is to turn the IBK into an organisation that can count on the international stage of Budo in the complete world and this under an enviroment of reciprocal respect.
Kancho Henk Kuipers is the holder of following black belts:
- 8th Dan black belt Kyokushin - Budokai
- 5th Dan black belt Tai - Jitsu
- 3th Dan black belt Oyama Karate
